just wanted to give some ups to a design website that give away freebie, offers helpful tutorials, and has some sweet design on it! the guy who runs this design blog just announced that Bittbox has become so popular that he has quit his job to do it full time! sweet, livin’ the dream! total freelance can be an awesome thing, but also scary as a place where fire is all the time and the poke you with pitch forks! so go give this guy props for running a kick butt design blog and taking the leap of faith. here is some of the work he has put up on the site, it make a sweet desktop! the detail is killer…

Just for Blog’s Sake…

anberlin is in town

anberlin isn’t in town… but they will be next month! i basically wanted to post something and didn’t feel like making a new banner for the post, like i usually do! call me lazy but i’m trying to work on a logo that i have come up with nothing of value so far, so i want to get back to that…

the reason I used the anberlin banner is because i wanted to post something i read on the lead singers blog, The Modesty Writers Guild. there is a lot of good stuff on his blog, as i mentioned in a previous post. so if you are in a mood to think and really search your heart after reading his posts, head on over there!

i read this post earlier, and it really caught my attention. these emotions and feelings are normal associated with the negative. but this benediction puts them into a new perspective! these are things we all should be praying:

A Franciscan Benediction

May God bless you with discomfort
At easy answers, half-truths, and superficial relationships
So that you may live deep within your heart

May God bless you with anger
At injustice, oppression, and exploitation of people,
So that you may work for justice, freedom and peace.

May God bless you with tears
To shed for those who suffer pain, rejection, hunger and war,
So that you may reach out your hand to comfort them and
To turn their pain into joy.

And may God bless you with enough foolishness
To believe that you can make a difference in the world,
So that you can do what others claim cannot be done
To bring justice and kindness to all our children and the poor.
